"I started a diet in early February. I work out at CityWideSuperSlow in Chicago. I work out with weights once a week, 30 really intense minutes. Because I live in the city, I do walk a lot. But not anything crazy. Really heavy weight too! Lost 16 pounds in 7 weeks. I didn’t starve myself. I ate close to 2000 calories per day, anything I wanted. I did cut out chips, and started bringing my lunch to work. Restaurants kill you. I used Lose It to keep track. I should lose around 5-10 more. Try it yourself."
"Had another fantastic workout this morning at CWSS. Increased my TUL 19 seconds on Routine E.
Finally read Body By Science last week and have purchased it for my 87-year old mother among others. As a person who believed that jogging was healthy and that cardio and cross training were really smart, I have radically changed my beliefs. When I first started SuperSlow®, I knew it was harder than anything I had ever done. What has kept me at it for 7 years is the continual improvement in strength I have made and the complete freedom from aches and pains."
"Four years ago I met Jerry, my best-friend-forever. At 68, he was an avid skier and tennis player, but you couldn't tell by looking at him. His poor posture, along with limited upper-body strength not only added years to his age, but contributed to countless injuries on the tennis courts and the slopes.
At about that time, David and Keith introduced me to SuperSlow® and I introduced it to Jerry. Since then, he only misses a weekly session when traveling and is absolutely thrilled with his progress. Of course I hear about the weight he's added weekly. Furthermore, he's even more active (playing lots of tennis and skiing) and hasn't sustained an injury in years. And, he looks even more terrific at 72!
PS After his, obvious, success - I, his son and daughter-in-law, and my son also became SuperSlow® devotees."
"I just want to send a note about what a great business you run. Yesterday when I arrived for my work out Andrew asked me if Becky had notified me that she stayed home due to a sore throat. I said no I had not heard and Andrew said now your stuck with me. My initial reaction was "Damn" and that is nothing against anybody, but I think a client gets used to their trainer. I knew that Andrew had trained me five or six times over the years so it was no big deal. Like all of you trainers Andrew was a complete professional. He offered hints and had his own little techniques all with a sense of humor but also serious at the same time. He was complimentary and made the work out an absolute joy. Usually on Monday I do SuperSlow® and then go to work at the store 10-6. Yesterday I also had to do a tasting at a local Forest Park restaurant from 6-10 pm. So it was a long day, but the work out set the tone for the day and it just whizzed by. I still felt so good this morning I just got back from a 4 mile walk in the windiest conditions that I have ever walked in. I sure do not want to lose Becky, but you have put together such a great staff that I think any of your clients would be more then happy with each of your trainers."
"After a bone density test my doctor had prescribed medicine to take weekly. At my follow-up exam, my numbers improved to the point that I am now off the medicine; the doctor said it is very much connected to SuperSlow®."
"Having suffered major lower back problems for a long time, I began SuperSlow® a year and a half ago, after my annual insurance allotment of physical therapy was used up. Without changing my diet (I still have ice cream or guacamole when I want it), I lost around thirty pounds in the first nine months I was working out at Citywide, even though I only worked out once a week. I've now lost about 40 lbs and I am two clothing sizes smaller than when I started. Plus, I'm insanely strong! And my osteopath has actually referred a number of other back injury patients to try SuperSlow®."
"I have been working out once a week with a personal trainer at CWSS for over four years. SuperSlow® workouts are highly efficient and effective; people often confuse quality with quantity but not at SuperSlow®. I often recommend Citywide SuperSlow® to others because I believe in their focused approach to building strength and have had measurable improvements. The workouts are tough but well worth the effort; the time savings alone make it worthwhile. And the people are the icing on the cake! It's all about people and the team at CWSS is the best!"
"SuperSlow® is the most efficient, effective workout available anywhere. 25 minutes per week, and I lost 30 lbs, 4 inches from my waist and I have continued to get in better shape ... . Denise and the entire team at CWSS are professional, terrific trainers…..Because of my success, my wife, father and mother have all started and all of them have had similar success. SuperSlow® exercise at CityWide SuperSlow® is simply the best exercise available anywhere in Chicagoland."
"I had turned 50, was in pretty good shape but had never "done" weights for fear I would hurt my back. One of the best things I have done for myself is to commit to SuperSlow® twice a week. Supervised training has meant I never experienced back pain. The training is conducted in a manner to force the best out of yourself and is fun to do, my body has become toned and most important, and I feel good about myself."
"After suffering from serious chronic lower back problems for years, including hospitalization, I joined CWSS in an effort to strengthen my lower back and improve my overall fitness. Since beginning SuperSlow® three years ago, I have avoided serious back pain and at the same time, improved my overall conditioning. I enthusiastically recommend SuperSlow® to anyone who has suffered from chronic lower back pain and is searching for an alternative or supplement to medical solutions."
"I'm not new to weight training. It's always been part of my fitness routine. ... SuperSlow® has delivered results that have far exceeded my expectations. I have increased strength and definition, particularly in my upper body. The intensity and mental challenge, plus the excellent results have made me a firm believer in this weight training method. Bring on those sleeveless dresses!"
"As a professional sales trainer and speaker, I appreciate this professional approach to exercise. All of us have the capacity to get stronger and healthier. CWSS and my trainer, Alexa, have unleashed that capacity. At 55, I feel better than I did at 35, and I know I’m stronger than I was in college."
"For over 20 years I’ve done an assortment of different workouts. CWSS is sinply the most efficient strength training workout I’ve ever done. I’m 43 years old and after 2 1⁄2 years of working out @ CWSS I am still showing strength improvement."
"After facing the fact that my out-of-control weight was seriously affecting my health, I decided that I needed to reverse the trend. So in parallel with a new approach to food, I had my introductory training session at Citywide SuperSlow®. I immediately knew that this would be a big component to achieving total fitness, combined with eating right. I began to train twice a week; that's all my trainers would allow. My strength began to increase dramatically. I knew that SuperSlow® would not, in and of itself, be the biggest determinant in weight loss. I strongly believed, however, that high intensity strength training would, in addition to building infrastructure strength, also burn more calories than blubber. The precipitating factor in starting this change was the fact that I could no longer fit in my 42 waist size pants and I could not find any size 44/30 pants. Within 120 days, I was in size 38's and my repetitions and weights on all machines had increased dramatically, including 780 pounds on my leg press (I probably started in the low 500's). As of today, my size 38's are loose and I plan on hitting size 34 in the next 120 days. With SuperSlow® and my healthy diet, I have no doubt I will achieve that goal."
"Today was the day. Six hundred on the leg press. It wasn’t planned. I did a minute and 30 seconds, not bad ... I was excited. Thank you again for turning me on to this system. I was a bit skeptical, but now I have to restrain myself from acting like a zealot. I want to begin every conversation, with people I talk to all the time with, 'Have I told you about my workout?' ... P. S. I turned 59 in January, and it is more than a little reassuring and invigorating that my weights are still going up ..."
"In 2004, I fell hiking and fractured my left patella. Then in 2006, walking my two shar-pei's, I fell again suffering a soft tissue injury to my left ankle. Friends had been involved with Super Slow for years. They started to talk to me about strength training but I was always involved with aerobics training. For my birthday, my best friend gave me a gift cerfticate to try super slow; I have been there every week since then. I don't know who was more excited when I meet my goal of 300 pounds on the leg press, my trainer or me. The changes I have seen to my body are remarkable. My golf game has also improved! ... P.S. I haven't fallen since I started CWSS."
