“I just want to send a note about what a great business you run. Yesterday when I arrived for my work out, Andrew asked me if Becky had notified me that she stayed home due to a sore throat. I said no I had not heard and Andrew said now you’re stuck with me. My initial reaction was “Damn” and that is nothing against anybody, but I think a client gets used to their trainer. I knew that Andrew had trained me five or six times over the years so it was no big deal. Like all of you trainers, Andrew was a complete professional. He offered hints and had his own little techniques all with a sense of humor but also serious at the same time. He was complimentary and made the work out an absolute joy. Usually on Monday, I do SuperSlow and then go to work at the store 10-6. Yesterday I also had to do a tasting at a local Forest Park restaurant from 6-10 pm. “After facing the fact that my out-of-control weight was seriously affecting my health, I decided that I needed to reverse the trend. So in parallel with a new approach to food, I had my introductory training session at Citywide SuperSlow. I immediately knew that this would be a big component to achieving total fitness, combined with eating right. I began to train twice a week; that’s all my trainers would allow. My strength began to increase dramatically. I knew that SuperSlow would not, in and of itself, be the biggest determinant in weight loss. I strongly believed, however, that high-intensity strength training would, in addition to building infrastructure strength, also burn more calories than blubber. The precipitating factor in starting this change was the fact that I could no longer fit in my 42 waist size pants and I could not find any size 44/30 pants. Within 120 days, I was in size 38’s and my repetitions and weights on all machines had increased dramatically, including 780 pounds on my leg press (I probably started in the low 500’s). As of today, my size 38’s are loose and I plan on hitting size 34 in the next 120 days. With SuperSlow and my healthy diet, I have no doubt I will achieve that goal.”
